Board of Education Vacancy

The Community Consolidated School District 146 Board of Education is seeking qualified residents to be considered for appointment to fill a vacancy on its seven-member Board of Education. The individual appointed will serve through the April 2027 Board of Education election.

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
  1. Be a citizen of the United States
  2. Be at least 18 years of age
  3. Be a registered voter
  4. Have been a resident of the State of Illinois and Community Consolidated School District 146 for at least one year prior to appointment
  5. Must not have been convicted of an offense requiring registration as a child sex offender under Section 11-9.3 of the Criminal Code of 1961
  6. Be willing and able to serve on the Board of Education through the April 2027 election

Interested candidates should be aware that application materials may be subject to disclosure in response to requests made under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.
