District 146 Community Partner Logo

District 146, its schools, and its parent organizations have partnered with and continue to partner with local businesses and organizations in a number of ways. Here are just a few examples:

  • Central Middle School’s Twister Leadership Team has volunteered with and donated to GiGi’s Playhouse.
  • Acorn Library attends Fierke’s Family Reading Night each year.
  • Fulton School’s PTO partnered with Pekoe and Bean to offer teachers a treat during Teacher Appreciation Week.
  • Kruse's Kindergarten Classes have Adopted a Fireman.
  • Memorial’s PTA hosts Skate Parties at Tinley Park Roller Rink.

This list doesn’t include the number of local business owners and local leaders who have spoken at our schools during career days, taken part in our multicultural fairs, set up tables at our open houses, and hosted parent group fundraisers.

Any organizations and businesses interested in partnering with the District, our schools, or our parent organizations are encouraged to complete the interest form.

Flyer Distribution

District 146 offers community organizations an opportunity to distribute information to our families via a Virtual Backpack. The District has partnered with Peachjar to share community and school fliers with families.

Peachjar’s platform streamlines school-to-home communication by distributing valuable school and community resources directly to families as digital flyers via email and webposting. By enabling our district to go paperless, Peachjar helps us save thousands of trees each year.

Peachjar for Community Organizations
District 146 partners with community organizations to provide information on community programs and resources to our families. Approved local community partners within 25 miles of the district office will not be charged for this service.

There are many added benefits to using Peachjar including clickable buttons that take parents directly to your website and flyer performance reports.

Please note, the District will no longer be distributing paper copies of fliers to each of our students.

To submit your flyer for district approval, review our Flyer Approval Guidelines and follow the steps below. 

  • Register your account as a Community Organization on Peachjar.com
  • Contact Faith Evans at 708.614.4500 to find out if you qualify as a local organization to post flyers.
  • Go to Post & Notify from your account to submit your flyer for approval
